Every RAWA piece is made from one of seven natural fibres. No polyester, no acrylic, no nylon — ever. Here's what each one does and why it made the cut.
Hemp is our workhorse. It's naturally antibacterial, gets softer with every wash, and needs a fraction of the water cotton does to grow. We use it anywhere we need durability without the stiffness.
Linen is the coolest fibre we own, literally. Made from flax, it's highly breathable and moisture-wicking, which makes it the obvious choice for anything built for heat.
Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers. It's soft, familiar, and kind to sensitive skin, so you'll find it lining pieces that sit close to the head.
Merino wool is a temperature regulator. It keeps you warm in the cold and cool in the heat, and it resists odour far better than any synthetic fill ever could.
Yak fibre is one of the rarest materials in our range. Combed from yaks living at high altitude, it's warmer than merino gram for gram and has a soft, brushed hand-feel.
Eri silk, sometimes called peace silk, is produced without harming the silkworm. It has a beautiful matte texture and adds a subtle structure to our knitwear.
Cashmere rounds things out. Sourced in small quantities, it's reserved for our most premium pieces, where warmth and softness matter most.
